South Coast Championships Regatta. H&D ARA hosted. Dorney Lake, Saturday, 2nd September.

Most of you will be aware that this years South Coast Rowing Championships Regatta is being hosted by our Association - the Hants & Dorset ARA - on Saturday, 2nd September, at Dorney Lake - and is being organised by a committee drawn from most of the Associations affiliated Clubs - with appeals for volunteers to help on the day being posted to all clubs on a number of occasions - and while many Clubs and individuals have responded we are still in need of volunteers to ensure that we can stage a successful regatta. 

In particular we have a need for a few more volunteer shore, pontoon, boat and race marshals – for the Junior Regatta in the morning – and the Championship and open events in the afternoon. If there is anyone hear who can volunteer for part or all of the day in these sort of roles we would really like to hear from you as soon as possible – and please put the word out to your clubs. The re-run of the Lymington/Milford on Sea Regatta. Saturday, 5th August.

The re-run of the Lymington/Milford on Sea Regatta.

After some discussion I can confirm that the postponed Lymington/Milford-on-Sea Regatta will now take place on Saturday, 5^th August and on behalf of the Hants & Dorset ARA and the 2017 South Coast Championships Committee I would like to thank the Lymington Club for agreeing to this date in spite of some difficulties in order to accommodate the time table for the entry closure date of 2017 SCC and possible H&D & Championship row-offs.
