Potential of hosting a British Coastal Championships - FISA Coastal (i.e off shore - not Coastal) Boats!

Great Britain was represented by a record number of entries at this year's World Coast Rowing Championships held in Monaco.
As a result, British Rowing is actively looking into the potential of hosting a British Coastal Championships which we will release more information on in due course.
As you may know, British Rowing must select crews to attend the World Coastal Championships. We hope this event will mark the opportunity for crews from all the Home Countries to be selected as the British entries. Creating a structured pathway for those clubs, crews and athletes who wish to compete at the World Coastal Championships by offering a fair selection event. Our expectation is that we will be able to formally communicate with clubs in the first quarter of 2017 the direction of the British Coastal Championships.
As part of the ongoing work to host the championships, we would like to hear from any interested parties. Clubs who have any FISA standard coastal boats they would be able to hire out, as well as individuals who would be interested in volunteering either in the build-up or on the day.
If you would like to get in touch please contact James Andrews at james.andrews@britishrowing.org.
