Wessex Region Coach education Team Questionnaire

The regional Coach Educator Team are trying to put together a plan for the required coaching courses for the region. In order to facilitate what the regions clubs require, they need Clubs to complete a questionnaire (only six questions) and return it to Mike Green, Coach Education Coordinator as soon as you can mike@megreen.co.uk

The Questionnaire has been E Mailed to Clubs by the Wessex Region and the H&DARA - so please watch out for it and respond. The questionnaire can also be downloaded from the "Downloads Section" - under "2018 Information" at the H&DARA Web site at www.hdara.co.uk

BR Clean Sport / anti-doping workshop. Tuesday 20th March 18.30-20.00. SWAC, Southampton.

There is a Clean Sport / anti-doping workshop being run by British Rowing which is being held at SWAC in Southampton on Tuesday 20th March 18.30-20.00. This is a free event but you must book ahead as spaces are limited. Unfortunatley it clashes with the H&DARA Rules & Competitions Sub Committee Meeting at BTC. No prior consultation from BR regarding date chosen. See H&D Calender on Home Page of Web Site for more details.

Next Wessex Meeting. Now 10.30am Sunday, 18th March at Southsea

Note this was due take place on the 20th March in Lymington,

Further to the last Wessex & SE Coastal meeting, we had invited British Rowing to attend the next regional meeting to present and discuss the regions participation and support of the British Offshore-Rowing Championships.

Due to the large geographical locations of all of clubs, we proposed that we would hold it as centrally as possible on a Sunday rather than the usual Tuesday night if representatives from British Rowing could attend.

I can confirm that British Rowing will be attending our next meeting with the primary purpose of outlining the plans for the Off-Shore Championships being held in Sandbanks in August.

The next meeting will be Sunday 18th March at Southsea Rowing Club and the meeting will commence at 10.30am

This is a great opportunity for all clubs within the Wessex & SE region to find out more about the Off-Shore Championships and how their clubs can take part or support and we hope that the venue and date will suit those who would usually be unable to attend a Tuesday night meeting.

To help gauge number, please could you advise by return email if you or a representative of your club will or will not be attending?
