Southsea Regatta will not be rescheduled in 2022.

Unfortunately our optimism at being able to reschedule Southsea Regatta on 6^th August has taken some pretty hefty blows in the last 24 hours. Quite a lot of the external support for the regatta is available but none of our three safety boat drivers and experienced crew members are available. We need a minimum of two safety boats with drivers with Southsea Regatta experience. In addition, six experienced club members are not available because they had booked holidays during this spare weekend, leaving just four experienced people to organise regatta set up, etc. on the day We can’t see a way to run a safe regatta without experienced safety boat drivers and crews or the club members who are unavailable.

Regretfully I have to confirm that Southsea Regatta will not be rescheduled in 2022.

Hope to see you on 24^th June 2023 for next year’s regatta.
