Your Executive Officers and South Coast Council Delegates had been growing slightly concerned about the lack of information regarding this years South Coast Championship Regatta - which is now less than two weeks away - on Saturday, 8th September at Deal.
We have been seeking additional information from the organisers and have been advised that -
They are finalising the information packs..
The race officials and water safety / inspection team will also receive the same information when we send it through this week both electronic(Thursday evening) and hard copy(Friday Post).
The Draw has been completed for the Open and Junior events and will be included with the order of events.
The championship weekend schedule will be included and will cover the times and locations for the Championship draw on Friday, Regatta day activities inc. for the safety briefing and officials briefing
plus i
instructions for trailer and official parking.
Invitations to the draw will all be included and posted to other PP as well on the Friday.
There will be a map that shows the relevant locations for each alternate course also.
Trailer Parking will be at the clubhouse from 06.00 as previously communicated to SCCRC on Regatta day. Clubs may be able to park outside the club Friday if space is available but as we don't have the road closure until Saturday we can't guarantee this and clubs do so in accordance with highway regulation at their own risk.
So you should receive all the relevant information both electronically and in hard copy format by the weekend. Once received I will forward to all Clubs and race Officials again just to make sure everyone is covered - and I will put as much of the information as I can on the SCC pages of the H&DARA Web site - http://coastalrowing.squarespace.com/scc-home/
We have yet to receive confirmation from CARA and WEARA regarding the take-up of their Championship slots so are still not able to confirm any additional entries in the Championship events that may be available!
