Itchen Junior Regatta 2018. Message from Abvideography ref. Filming.

AB Videography have had a couple of requests to film crews / races at Itchen Junior Regatta on Saturday. Alex (Lymington ARC) has spoken to the junior co-ordinator at Itchen and will take a couple of cameras with him and film the crews or races where he has signed parental consent to do so. 

If any crews or clubs would like their junior crews filmed whilst racing at the regatta, please visit the AB Videography website using the link below and follow the instructions. Alternatively, please contact Alex directly at alex@abvideography.co.uk. 

If your crew is racing in a heat, fill out the consent form as normal. Alex will make a note of the crew and film them if they reach further stages. 

At the moment, Alex is only expecting to film individual crews or scullers. However, if every crew involved in a race has signed parental consent, Alex will film the entire race.

SOUTH COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 INFORMATION PACK.

The 2018 SOUTH COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS INFORMATION PACK has now been received from the organisors Deal R. C./CARA. This should have been sent directly to all Clubs and H&D racing Officials. The Association has sent round for four pdf documents - the Safety Plan, event list, draw and Championship schelue - by E Mail to Clubs and H&DARA Excutiver Officer, SCC Deleagtes and SCC race Officials - to ensure all have received a copy.

You can also download these four documents in pdf format from the H&D ARA Web site at www.hdara.co.uk - go to the SCC Tab and scroll down to SOUTH COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 INFORMATION PACK or the Calender on the home page where they can be dowloaded from its calender entry.

The "Daily Echo Trophy" in Memory of Arthur Chatfield.

The "Daily Echo Trophy" was presented to the Association in memory of the late Arthur Chatfield and is awarded annually, at the Presentation Dinner, by the Association, to an individual for Services to the Association and to Coastal Rowing.

It was agreed that Clubs would be asked to nominate candidates   for the award and that the Association's Executive Officers would make a final decision on who should receive the Trophy from those nominated. Nominations do not have to be, and arguably should  not be, from your own Club. It should be noted that the award is   for services to the Association and Coastal Rowing - and while    there are many deserving Club members who have made a significant contribution to their own Clubs - with this award we   seek to recognize significant contributions to our Association and    to Coastal Rowing.

Could your Club, therefore, please give consideration to who you may wish to nominate for this Trophy and send the nomination to me at 10, Brookfield Gardens, Binstead, Ryde, Isle of Wight, PO33 3NP or by E Mail me at stephencbull@googlemail.com by the 6^th October, 2018.
